The Williams Crew came into the 492nd towards the end of July. On 31 July they were assigned to the 859th BS and were designated as Crew 922.
|
|
But they never got a chance to fly a combat mission before the Group was disbanded. They were transferred to the 467th BG, 788th BS on 10 August 44.
